ABC Comedy series The Letdown highlights that one in three mothers wet themselves
Did you know 1 in 3 mums wet their pants? Soph in the ABC series ‘The Letdown’ is one of those mums.
Airing on the ABC on Wednesday January 10, comedy series The Letdown highlighted the prevalence of continence problems for women. Soph, a mum in the series, wets her pants in public. Embarrassed about her problem, she escapes to the toilet where she is comforted by another character who offers her support.
Deciding to post a picture of her problem on social media, Soph asks the other character if she will post a comment of support for her problem: ‘Like #1in3women suffer from some form of incontinence after childbirth. #istandwiththem’, she suggests. The other character responds: ‘That’s good, that’s, it’s a little bit long, but, um… I’ll think of something punchy. 1 in 3 did you say?’
